Building websites is much like building in general, there is a design element and an engineering element. The architecture is what people see, but without a good foundation a building will collapse. Both need to be present.
This website has a solid foundation. The template nature of the underlying software is what makes the website work. I've designed websites since the mid 90's and have come to appreciate the elegance of templated systems. Templated systems allow data to be merged with a web page to create dynamic, scalable websites.
BTW, my backgound is in engineering, so I'm a little biased. |
